Source Strategies recently completed a new financial feasibility study, at the request of the City of Lago Vista, identifying a very promising location for a new hotel. Logo Vista’s director of economic development reached out to Source Strategies to analyze the feasibility of a hotel project in the area and the results look promising. The need for this hotel had been highlighted during the city’s Comprehensive Plan 2030 process.
Nestled on the northern shores of Lake Travis, Lago Vista features five lakeside parks, two golf courses and several wineries. Residents and tourists are drawn to the beautiful Hill County scenery, the lake lifestyle and the abundant wildlife.
Several locations within the city were examined and the main thoroughfare of FM 1431 was deemed the most likely site due to its high visibility within the central business district, easy access from nearby traffic corridors and convenient to many businesses, restaurants and other amenities.
Source Strategies President Todd Walker opined that “this is a unique opportunity to develop in the last area of the Austin metro without a branded hotel property.”
With any Feasibility Study, Source Strategies looks at a variety of factors about the specific project, the wider surrounding market, overall market conditions and the current impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic. The Austin metropolitan area has been the most dynamic in the Texas lodging industry over the last decade.
