Culture Map Austin: These Austin hotels dominate list of the most lucrative lodging in Texas

Austin’s hotel market continues to thrive. A report released December 3 by San Antonio-based hotel consulting firm Source Strategies Inc. gives Austin the title for the Texas market with the most hotels among the state’s top 30 moneymakers.

At the top of the hotel heap in Austin was Lake Austin Spa Resort, with revenue per available room per day (RevPAR) of $233.70 in the third quarter of 2019, up from $196.20 during the same period last year. That catapulted Lake Austin Spa to No. 4 statewide, compared with No. 26 at the same time last year.
