The Houston Chronicle:
The Marriott between NRG Stadium and the Texas Medical Center reopened its doors last week, boasting a new lobby bar, an updated exterior and rehauled bathrooms, the result of a $6 million renovation.
Across town, the owner of the Hilton Houston North in Greenspoint announced it would spend $35 million stripping its rooms down to the studs and updating the lobby with a tech center, four-sided cocktail bar, grab-and-go meal center and restaurant.
The investments are part of a Houston hotel resurgence, according to business management consulting firm Source Strategies.
