Metro San Antonio gained 1,000 net new hotel rooms in the fourth quarter of 2019, and there are indications that supply is beginning to outpace demand. The number of room nights sold in October through December increased less than 1% compared to the same period the previous year, according to data provided by San Antonio-based industry consultant Source Strategies Inc. At the same time, overall hotel revenue in metro San Antonio fell 0.2% to $316 million, in part because room rates in the region decline
